FAQ's, Myths and misconceptions about Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a natural, altered state of consciousness characterized

by deep relaxation, narrowed focus, and increased suggestibility.

In this state, the conscious mind softens, allowing access to the

subconscious — where beliefs, habits, emotions, and memories

are stored.

It is not sleep, nor unconsciousness, but a hyper-focused waking

state where inner transformation becomes accessible.

So What Is It Really?

I like to think of hypnosis as a guided meditation. Where you are guided into a relaxed state, sometimes very deep which is otherwise known as the “somnambulistic state”. It is in these relaxed states where the conscious analytical mind steps aside and the subconscious mind (SC) or higher self comes forward.

This is the gateway to infinite knowledge or “source”. This is where your questions are answered and the healing begins. Think of it like a phone or a computer update, your old patterns are reprogrammed with ones that cater to and compliment your reasons for coming to the session. It gets you firing and driving in the right direction again. 

FAQ's 

Will I be under your control?

Not even slightly. Hypnosis is a state of focused relaxation, not unconsciousness. You’re aware the entire time. You can speak, move, and come out of it whenever you choose. Nothing happens without your full participation.

 

Will I remember anything?

Most people remember everything. Some experience it like a vivid dream — clear during the session and slightly softer afterward. That’s exactly why every session is recorded. You go home with the full audio.

 

Can anyone be hypnotised?

Almost everyone can enter a hypnotic state — it’s a natural state your brain already knows how to access. The main ingredient is willingness. Come in curious and open, and you’ll probably surprise yourself.

 

What if nothing happens?

Something always happens. It may not look like what you expected — but the SC gives you what you need, not always what you think you want. Trust the process. I’ll be with you the whole time.

 

Do I have to believe in past lives for QHHT® to work?

No. Whether what comes up is a literal past life, a metaphor your subconscious is using, or something else entirely — it doesn’t matter. What matters is what it means to you and what shifts as a result.

 

How is this different from regular hypnotherapy?

Most hypnotherapy is short and focused on a single issue. QHHT® goes much deeper — to the root cause, often the soul-level root. It’s a different category of work entirely.

 

What’s the difference between The Sit Down and The Download?

The Download is spontaneous — you call me on the fly, billed by the minute, no appointment needed. The Sit Down is scheduled — we pick a time, sit together properly (in person or online), and work through something with more intention. Both are informal. Both are real. Different days call for different things.

 

Is The Sit Down therapy?

No. Ryan is not a registered clinical counsellor. The Sit Down is an informal, non-clinical conversation with someone who has a natural gift for this work and the energy to back it up. If you need formal clinical support, Ryan will tell you that honestly and help point you in the right direction.

 

I’m not tech-savvy. Can I still book?

Yes. Ignore the booking system entirely if you want. Just call. We’ll sort it out the old-fashioned way.
